Finding and purchasing a book

How do I find search for a book in the St. Athanasius Orthodox Bookstore?

We have made every effort to make buying a book from our store as simple as possible. There are several ways in which you can search for a product on our site. Keyword Search- you can search by entering any keywords into the ‘Quick Find’ search box on the homepage. Advanced Search- you can click on ‘Advanced Search’ on the homepage. You will be taken to a search page where you can locate an item by searching in the product descriptions, by searching the categories, by price of the item or by the date range of the item

 

How do I purchase a book in the St. Athanasius Orthodox Bookstore catalogue?

Once you have located the book, or item that you want, click on the title and you will be taken to the individual product page. To place your order click on, ‘Add to Cart’. Once you have placed your item in the ‘cart’, you can choose to proceed to the ‘Check out’ or to continue shopping. If you decide you do not want a particular title, simply click the ‘remove’ button next to the title and press ‘Update’ to update your shopping cart. If you want to change the number of copies you want to buy of a particular title, highlight the number in the ‘quantity’ box and type in the number of copies you require, Then click ‘update’ to update your shopping cart. When you are happy with your order, click on ‘Check out, you will then be prompted for your account details.

 

What are Customer Accounts?

The first time that you purchase books from St. Athanasius Orthodox Bookstore, you will need to create a customer account. You only need to enter your personal information for your first purchase from St. Athanasius Orthodox Book shop on subsequent visits, you will only need to enter you user name and password.

 

Why should I sign up with St. Athanasius Orthodox Bookstore?

By creating an account at St. Athanasius Orthodox Bookstore, you will be able to shop faster, be up to date on an orders status, and keep track of the orders you have previously made. Also St. Athanasius Orthodox Bookstore has new titles and replacement stock coming in to the shop and online all the time and we would like to keep you informed about what is happening. If you sign in, we will be able to do this. How do I set up my Customer account? After you have finished shopping, clicking on ‘Check out’ will prompt you to a registration page. Click on the ‘I am a new customer’. Enter your personal details and also create a password for all your future logins. This will enable you to return to St. Athanasius Orthodox Bookstore without having to enter in all your personal details again. Please keep your password in a safe place. A confirmation email will be sent to the provided email address to confirm your registration with St. Athanasius Orthodox Bookstore.

 

How do I finalise my purchase?

Once you have registered, you will be taken to a screen where you will check the details of your shipping address and review your purchases and if necessary make changes to your order. If you are happy with your order, proceed to ‘Payment information’. Enter here your preferred payment method and your payment details and press ‘Confirm your order’. Once you have confirmed your order, your payment details will be authorised and your purchase finalised.

 

How do I know my order has gone through?

A confirmation email will be sent to your email address detailing receipt of your purchase. Similarly, an email will be sent to your email address notifying you that your order is being processed and a further email informing you that your order has been shipped

 

Can I change my account information?

You can change your account information at any time by clicking on My Account on the homepage. This will give you the option to change your account information, change entries in your address book, change your password and view the orders you have made. In addition you can subscribe or unsubscribe from our newsletter and view or change your product notification list.

 

Can I create a billing account with St. Athanasius Orthodox Bookstore?

We do not currently accept purchase orders online since all orders must be prepaid. If you are a corporate or organisational customer, please contact us via our online contact form to make special arrangements.

 

Can I cancel my order?

Please select items carefully. Order cancellation will attract administrative fees. You may still cancel all or part of your order, provided you have contacted us and your order has not been dispatched. Please email us, using the online contact form with your order details. Order cancellation fees will apply and will be deducted from the refund. Order cancellation fee is 30% of the total purchase price.

 

How do I find a book not on the St. Athanasius Orthodox Bookstore website?

While St. Athanasius Orthodox Bookstore lists a large number of books on its web site that you can find by searching, there are far more books in print that we can get on special order. If you want a book that is not listed, send the details (author, title, ISBN or whatever you know about the book) to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or alternatively contact us using our online contact form. We will let you know if the book is in print and if we can get it for you.

What currency are the book prices listed in?

All the books are listed in Australian dollars (AUD)

How is my book priced?

St. Athanasius Orthodox Bookstore attempts to keep its prices as competitive as possible and below the recommended retail price. Our aim is to serve our readers and readily make available to them Orthodox material at very reasonable prices

 

What is the GST?

The Goods and Services Tax has affected the prices of products purchased from within Australia, since July 1, 2000. The supply of goods outside of Australia or goods being sent overseas is not affected by GST. When your order is shipped outside Australia, the amount of GST will not appear in your shopping cart total.

 

How much does it cost for shipping?

St. Athanasius Orthodox Bookstore can deliver to you anywhere in the world. Postage is calculated based on the total value of your order. It's really simple and it makes lots of sense. All freight charges are in Australian dollars and are as follows:

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Orders are sent either as an ordinary parcel with Australia Post. Your order will be processed and sent within the same working day of receipt of your order. The actual delivery date is subject to the delivery timeframes of Australia Post. We will notify you about any changes to expected shipping periods.

 

What happens if some of the products I ordered are not in stock?

If there are items in your order that are not in stock, they will be backordered or ordered from the publisher/supplier. Your backorders will be shipped separately, but no additional postage charges will be applied.

 

Can I pick up myself rather than have the items shipped?

Yes. You can pick up your order from the store located at 88-154 Park Rd., Donvale, Melbourne, Victoria, 3111. The bookstore is located in the main foyer of the building. You can pick up your orders by phoning ahead on (03) 98748206 to notify us of your intended pick up.

Returns Policy

Returns Policy Can I return books if they are damaged?

Any damaged products must be reported to St. Athanasius Orthodox Bookstore within 7 working days of receipt. Damaged products will be replaced with an exact replacement only. Please return books in the same wrapping they were sent to you in, together with the packing invoice.
